Study of the silicon drift detector performance with inclined tracks

The position resolution of a full-size prototype silicon drift detector designed for the ALICE exper- iment was measured as a function of incident angle by using a pion beam of 140 GeV/c at the CERN SPS, and the results are presented in this paper. The anodic resolution is seen to improve signicantly as the angle increases, as expected.
