Terrestrial Isopods from West Africa

SUMMARYIn West Africa the family Armadillidae at present includes 16 genera and 33 species. Six new genera (Annobodillo, Feadillo, Gabunillo, Paraxenodillo, Pseudolobodillo and Togarmadillo) and 17 new species are described. The genera Anchicubaris Collinge, 1920, Cristarmadillo Arcangeli, 1950, Ethelumoris Richardson, 1907, Laureola Barnard, 1960, Polyacanthus Budde-Lund, 1909 and Tuberdillo Arcangeli, 1941 are re-defined. Praelaureola Vandel, 1973 is considered to be a junior synonym of Laureola Barnard while Laureola Vandel, 1973 nec Barnard, is established as a new genus, Pseudolaureola.
