There has been a dense and rapid migration period from villages to cities in Turkey since 1950.There seems a confused urbanization characteristic not to be a healthy urbanization period arisen from industrialization.As a result of this, the cities are surrounded with the unauthorized constructions set up in one night called gecekondu which have no severage systems.Furthermore, the negative effects of the rapid urbanization and density of migration have been continuously felt in law, economy, and social and cultural areas.
