The Impact of Subject Matter and on Teaching Performance

As a part of the effort to evaluate the effectiveness of teacher education program, Arkansas Tech University assessed the extent to wich education and subject matter coursework predict the teaching performance of student teachers completing the program. The findings of this study add to the body of research indicating that teacher education makes a difference in teaching performance.
