A variant of Chlamydia trachomatis with deletion in cryptic plasmid: implications for use of PCR diagnostic tests

A new variant of Chlamydia trachomatis with a deletion in the cryptic plasmid has been detected in Sweden, following an unexpected 25% decrease in
