Air force manufacturing technology NDE programs supporting manufacturing and maintenance

Department of Defense MANTECH (manufacturing technology) and REPTECH (repair technology) principles and objectives are stated. Attention is given to the following current MANTECH programs: requirement for cause NDE (nondestructive evaluation), integrated bladed inspection system, in-service inspection system for composites, improved ultrasonic equipment (pulsar/receiver), X-ray computed tomography, and advanced transducer production. The following past MANTECH NDE programs are also discussed: photogrammetry, eddy current disk inspection, capacitance hole probe, automated dimensional inspection, and inspection for cracks under fastners.< <ETX xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">&gt;</ETX>
