Optical interference coatings for the infrared. Final report, February 1-September 30, 1978

Several types of multilayer interference reflectors were produced: (a) with a high reflectance at lambda = 16 ..mu..m and high transmittance at 9.4 ..mu..m; (b) high reflectance at 9.4 ..mu..m and high transmittance at 16 ..mu..m; and (c) a reflector at lambda = 11.3 ..mu..m. The stacks were fabricated by evaporating alternate layers of ZnSe and PbF/sub 2/ in a vacuum.
