The Reaction e^-+p→ ν_e+n at Intermediate Energies

We obtain the differential cross section for the reaction, e - +p→ ν e +n, a weak electron scattering process, for incident electron energies from 0.1 GeV to 6.0 GeV. The contributions from the form factors are obtained and the possibility of observing this reaction at accelerators such as CEBAF is discussed. The results for this process are compared to those for the reaction e - + 3 He → ν e + 3 H
