Use of low-frequency sinusoidal temperature waves to separate pyroelectric currents from nonpyroelectric currents. Part II. Experiment

Data are presented on several dielectric materials which typically possess varying degrees of pyroelectric response depending largely on the electrical (poling) and thermal (heating) conditioning of the materials. A measurement technique described in the preceding paper was used to analyze these materials. The results of these measurements are compared with those reported by other workers using different techniques. The strength and simplicity of this method is clearly demonstrated when analyzing materials such as poly(vinylidene fluoride) (PVF2), where the current arising from a heated sample stems from a combination of sources or mechanisms in the material.
