Magnitude of the light current quark masses

We estimate the absolute values of the light current quark masses ${m}_{u}$, ${m}_{d}$, and ${m}_{s}$ defined as parameters in the renormalized quantum-chromodynamic Lagrangian in two different ways. Our results are ${m}_{u}=1.8\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}0.7$ MeV, ${m}_{d}=4.3\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}1.7$ MeV, and ${m}_{s}=112\ifmmode\pm\else\textpm\fi{}66$ MeV at the renormalization-point mass $\ensuremath{\mu}\ensuremath{\sim}1$ GeV.
