Frühneuzeitliche Konflikte um einen Allmendwald im Kanton Zürich | Conflict in early modern times surrounding common pastures and woodlands in Canton Zurich

The strong increase in population in Canton Zurich in the 16th century led to the enclosure of common pastures and woodlands to increase the surface of arable fields. Thus, land and resources were manifestly withdrawn from communal usage. The present work describes the consequent conflict using the example of the common pastures and woodlands of Tagelswangen and Hegnau.
