Abstract

The study of the temperature dependence of the Cs-He absorption spectrum between 5350 and 6850 AA gives information about both the Cs(7S and 5D5/2)-He interaction potentials and the oscillator strength of the 6S-5D5/2 collision-induced transition. These experimental data are found to differ widely from the available theoretical results.
