Subtypes and One-Year Survival of First-Ever Stroke in Chinese Patients: The Nanjing Stroke Registry

The case fatality rate and predictors for mortality of Chinese patients with first-ever stroke are similar to those reported for other populations. The significant influence of cardiovascular disease on the first-year survival rate emphasizes the importance of acute stroke management and control of hypertension, DM, AF and other predictors for decreasing case fatality and improving prognosis.
