Personalities of the Surveying Profession

Abstract The delegates to the Second Interstate Conference of Surveyors' Institutes of Australia had many opportunities of estimating the qualities of Mr. W. A. Chadwick, the President of the Institution of Surveyors of New South Wales. In his capacity as Chairman of an important Conference, as host at many very pleasant social gatherings, and in the role of raconteur (especially of Yorkshire stories) he proved both capable and enthusiastic—qualities which the leaders of the survey profession to-day need perhaps more than any others.
