Abstract

Abstract Alpha-particle (25 MeV) and neutron irradiation of sublimation-grown α-SiC were carried out. A new EPR spectrum was observed but no model yet established for the defect responsible for this spectrum. IR absorption (0.4–25 mkm.) was also studied; no distinct bands were observed beyond a broad near-edge non-selective absorption.
