Alkenylation of aromatic compounds

The review summarizes new data on the introduction of alkenyl (vinyl) groups into aromatic and heteroaromatic structures via reactions with alkenes and alkynes. The main attention is given to the characterization and estimation of synthetic potential of the alkenylation of aromatic compounds with acetylene derivatives in the presence of transition metal complexes, as well as by the action of electrophiles, Lewis acids, and Brønsted superacids.
