A Call to Understanding, Solidarity, and Action: An Agency Perspective

Through collaborations with community partners and academic institutions agencies can build their capacity to more effectively serve the United States' growing migrant population. This article presents several innovative collaborative initiatives that Catholic Charities of the Archdiocese of Chicago has developed toward this end. These include the creation of an Office of Latino Affairs, a Latino Advisory Committee, numerous community collaborations, and a transnational student exchange program that offers a unique opportunity for students to serve, learn, and reflect.
