Private ownership for agricultural lands: Advantages and disadvantages (Experience of two decades)

The paper considers the processes of the privatization of agricultural lands and the formation of land shares, the major sectors of modern agrarian land management, the degree of development of market relations in them. It analyzes the causes of the problem of land shares and prospects of its solution and points out the need to search for an optimal balance between the social and economic constituents of this problem. The major results of land privatization in the AIC are summed up.
