Abstract

Variable sampling plans have been widely employed to increase the power of control charts, mainly for the univariate case. In this paper, a T 2 control chart with variable sample size and variable sampling frequency is developed. Near optimum schemes are obtained to detect faster shifts in the mean vector. A comparison with a MEWMA chart is made.
