A staged protocol for soft-tissue management in the treatment of complex pilon fractures

Abstract

Results from 53 patients with 56 complex pilon fractures treated with open reduction and internal fixation in a staged manner were reported. Universal wound healing with only minimal wound complications were demonstrated.
