Four patients with infectious mononucleosis as diagnosed by the presence of heterophil antibodies and positive Davidson differential test and who had mild hematuria were biopsied.The biopsies were studied with the light and electron microscope. Only minimal changes were seen by light microscopy, consisting of moderate glomerular swelling and congestion without hypercellularity and having small foci of interstitial mononuclear cell infiltration.The electron microscopic studies to date have been confined to the glomerulus.
