Abstract

This paper describes the following 4 systems developed by KOMATSU LTD. in order to improve operability and realize unmanned, automatic operation of construction equipment.1. Laser guided automatic excavation system for hydraulic excavators2. Shoe slip control system for bulldozers3. Unmanned vehicle control system for dump trucks4. Automatic operation system for wheel loadersThis paper also describes the position-detecting hydraulic cylinder, and the sensor technology developed by KOMATSU which is indispensable for realizing these systems.
