Abstract

The 11B(p,n) reaction has been measured carefully in order to shed some light on the reaction mechanism underlying this nucleon scattering process on a light non-magic nucleus. The continuum shell-model analysis supports the experimental evidence for a strong direct reaction contribution interfering with resonance states which are built from complex configurations.
