Bridging the gap: Using AVO to detect changes in fundamental elastic constants

Two new seismic amplitude with offset (AVO) equations have been derived. These equations express the change in AVO in terms of the fundamental elastic rock properties of either Bulk Modulus or Lame's Modulus with Sheaz Modulus and Density. The AVO results derived from these equations are found to compare well to the results of existing equations in theory and for synthetic and real data.
