New Serological Methods for the Detection of the L. E. Factor*

Summary It has been shown that the L.E.‐factor agglutinates sheep erythrocytes that have previously been treated with tannic acid and coated with nucleoprotein or desoxyribonucleic acid. Résumé Il a pu être démontré qu'un sérum contenant ie facteur L.E. agglutine des érythrocytes de mouton qui ont été préalablement traités à l'acide tannique et recouverts avec de la nucléoproténe ou avec de l'acide désoxyribonucléique. Zusammenfassung Es konnte gezeigt werden, daß der L.E.‐Faktor mit Hilfe der passiven Hämagglutination nachgewiesen werden kann, wenn als «Antigen» Nukleoprotein oder Desoxyribonukleinsäure verwendet wird.
