How do you play? Identity, technology and ludic culture

Abstract This paper summarises some of the discursive frameworks within which play is conceptualised. It emphasises the links between contemporary subjectivity and play which produce new epistemologies of simulation and find representation in the wide range of cultural practices associated with the form of the computer game.
