Bone and Joint Changes Associated with Psoriasis

A group of cases have been reported in this paper, which, with two exceptions, showed a markedly destructive arthritis of the hands and feet with little porosis of bone. All the patients suffered from psoriasis, and practically all of them had psoriatic pitting of the nails. In all but the exceptional cases, one of which showed a rheumatoid type of arthritis and the second of which had mixed rheumatoid and destructive lesions, the psoriasis preceded the joint changes by a number of years. In several of them the joint exacerbations and the worsening of the skin lesions were concomitant.
