Elastic Scattering of 3.7-Mev Neutrons from S, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, and Zn

The differential cross section for the elastic scattering of 3.7-Mev neutrons from sulfur, iron, cobalt, nickel, copper, and zinc has been measured in a ring geometry using a modified Bonner-type scintillation detector. The measurements were taken over an angular range between 10\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{} and 160\ifmmode^\circ\else\textdegree\fi{}. Angular resolution effects have been removed by a suitable iterative procedure. Multiple-scattering effects have been removed by an approximate analytical treatment.
