On the propagation of wireless signals on board ships

The characterization of the wireless channel on board
\na cruise ship is considered by means of frequency domain
\nmeasurements of received power and propagation attenuation.
\nThis electromagnetic environment is rather new and is
\ncharacterized by abundance of reflecting surfaces and diffracting
\nelements, so that a significant difference with respect to more
\ncommon residential and office environments has been found. The
\nmeasurement setup is simple and easy to position and operate.
\nThe results consist of corrected path loss laws for halls and
\ncorridors and the quantification of scattering influence.
