Polymorphism of somatotropin, prolactin, leptin, and thyreoglobulin genes in bulls

The aim of this study was investigation of polymorphism in somatotropin (GH), prolactin (PRL), leptin (LEP), and thyreoglobulin (TG) genes in thoroughbred and crossbred with Holstein breed bulls. Our results are in agreement with previously published literature data, and we found allele frequencies in bulls including 0.86 (L) and 0.14 (V) for the GH gene, 0.87 (A) and 0.13 (B) for the PRL gene, 0.59 (C) and 0.41 (T) for the LEP gene, and 0.81 (C) and 0.19 (T) for the TG gene.
