Abstract

Two emissive DyIII complexes of crown ether macrocycles are reported. The Dy [15]-crown-5 (<bold>1</bold>) is an SMM in zero field due to a well isolated ground state, confirmed by both photoluminescence data and <italic>ab initio</italic> calculations.
