However, additional dogs in the eastern United States developed clinical signs of suspected toxicosis. These additional animals, along with the product description and date code, were reported to the product manufacturer. The FDA was notified of the possible toxicosis, and testing confirmed contamination with aflatoxin. The manufacturer issued a recall of 19 products produced at a plant in South Carolina. 1 After
