Synergistic Effect of Antimicrobial Constituents of Vitex Negundo with Metal Ferrocyanides

A study on synergistic effect of antimicrobial activity of methanol extract of Vitex negundo with metal ferrocyanides has been carried out against Rhizoctonia solani and Mycogone perniciosa. The synergistic effect has been observed only against R. solani in presence of cadmium and zinc ferrocyanides. No synergistic effect has been observed against M. perniciosa. Synergistic effect of zinc ferrocyanides is found to be greater in comparison to that of cadmium ferrocyanide. These results may be useful in development of ecofriendly biopotentiated pesticides for future.
