MRI Diagnosis of Pituitary Tumor

Objective To study MR features of the invasive pituitary.Methods All patients underwent magnetic resonance examinations assign spin echo (SE)T_1 WI and T_2 WI in transsexual capital and coronal planes.Additionally the contrast en- hancement of Gd-DTPA in those suspected, microadenona was studied on T, MR images.Results Among 32 cases, 26 were wacro-adenowa, and the other 6 were micro-adenowa.The correspondence between MR and clinical diagnosis was 96%, 85%of macro-adenomas showed moderately hypointensity on T_1 WI and 80%showed hyper intensity on T_2WI.The signal and ap- pearance charges in micro adenoma were not noticeable, but after the enhancement scanning the diagnoses could be all estab- lished.Conclusion MRI has a high accurate of localization and diagnosis on pituitary tumor, it is and ideal diagnosis method of pituitary tumor.
