Abstract

The somatic chromosome numbers of 5 species of Begonia from China are reported: B.parvula Levl. et Vant. 2n=28; B.lithophila C.Y. Wu 2n=24; B.muliensis Yu 2n=24; B.limprichtii Irmsch. 2n=22; and an unknown species in section Platycentrum 2n=20.
