The Development of Digital Array Radar

Digital Array Radar(DAR) is a fully digitized phased array radar in which digital beamforming techniques is used both in receiving and transmitting.Because both transmit and receive beamforming is realized in digital form,DAR has higher flexibility of digital processing and offers a number of attractive features than conventional phased array radar.In this paper,an overview of digital array radar is presented,including the basic concept,key techniques,recent progresses,potential applications and the future development.
