Effect of illumination Intensity on the Reproduction Quantity of Drosophila Melanogaster

In order to study the influence of different illumination intensity on the reproduction quantity of drosophila melanogaster in comparison to aphotic cultivation,three photoperiod gradients and three illumination intensity gradients have been provided for processing 3 genotypes of drosophila under illumination respectively.As a result,the influence of different illumination intensities on the reproduction quantity of drosophila is different from each other.There is extremely significant change of the reproduction quantity of drosophila melanogaste under illumination of 6h/d and 24h/d,while there is no significant change under illumination of 12h/d.Different genotypes of drosophila have different reactions to illumination intensity and photoperiod.
