Supportive Personnel in the Health Professions—Hospital Pharmacy

Various issues facing hospital pharmacy relative to the use of technicians are discussed. Specific topics covered include technician tasks, technician training, technician flexibility, licensure vs. certification of technicians and the appropriate use of technicians. It is concluded that pharmacy technicians are here to stay and that their proper utilization will help phfumacists participate fully in health care services.
