A genaralized multi-frequency impedance matching technique

This paper describes a generalized multi-frequency impedance transformer capable of providing concurrent matching at arbitrary number of frequencies. A frequency dependent complex load (FDCL) has been considered but the scheme is applicable for real loads as well. The exact analysis of the proposed design results in closed form equations with many independent free variables to cater to the wide range of FDCLs. The proposed theory is validated through a prototype fabricated on Rogers RO5880, with permittivity of 2.2, and working at 0.9/1.8/2.1/2.9 GHz. The good agreement between measured and the EM simulated results validate the proposed technique.
