Abstract

Hierarchical nitrogen-doped porous carbons (HNPCs) with tunable pore structures and ultrahigh specific surface areas were designed and prepared from sustainable biomass precursor cellulose carbamate <italic>via</italic> simultaneous carbonization and activation by a facile one-pot approach.
