612: Pathologic Outcomes for Men on Active Surveillance who Undergo Radical Prostatectomy do not Differ from Men Undergoing Immediate Treatment

had clinically localized disease. Follow-up data showed that 88 (25%) patients had evidence of biochemical progression and 104 (30%) underwent additional treatments. A total of 125 (36%) patients progressed biochemically and/or underwent secondary treatments. Patients with biochemical progression were more likely to undergo additional treatment (p < 0.0001 ). Overall mortality was 30%, and Peaspecific mortality was 8%. No patient in the additional treatment group died of PCa versus 8 in the non-treatment group. A biopsy Gleason grade > 6 (16% vs 7 %, p = 0.02) and a clinical stage of T2 or greater (37% vs 27%, p = 0.005) were predictors of mortality from any cause. Continuing follow-up data are on this patient cohort will be presented.
