A SWOT Analysis of the Marine Energy Sector at the European Level

The present work aims to present the main potential sources of marine renewable energy:
\noffshore wind and ocean energy (wave, tide, marine currents, temperature gradients, salinity gradients)
\nand their social and environmental impact to make an analysis of the degree of capitalization of these
\nalternative energy sources. The main objective of the proposed research is to identify the most relevant
\nstrengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats (SWOT) in order to outline an overview of the use of
\nthe renewable marine energy resources at the European level that is to identify the possibilities of
\nincreasing the quota of exploiting the potential of the marine energy sector.
