Tandem Ring Expansion-Cyclisation Reactions: Synthesis of the Bicyclo-[4.3.0]-Nonane and Bicyclo-[6.3.0]-Undecane Ring Systems

Ferric chloride induced ring expansion-cyclisation of cyclopropyl silyl ether derivitives provided access to functionalised [4.3.0] and [6.3.0] carbocycles.
