The property and the seismic wave velocity of fractured zone

In public works it is very important for design and execution of work that location, width, dip, nature, degree of fracture, strength, and water content of fractured zone are clarified beforehand, and so investigationedand tests are done. The seismic refraction method is such a suitable investigation that it clarifies location, nature and so on of fractured zone, and the relationship between the seismic wave velocity and the factor which includes nature, strength, water content, etc. is investigated.
