Visible-light-promoted acridine red catalyzed aerobic oxidative decarboxylative acylation of α-oxo-carboxylic acids with quinoxalin-2(1<i>H</i>)-ones

Visible-light-mediated procedure has been developed for the synthesis of 3-acyl quinoxalin-2(1<italic>H</italic>)-ones through acridine red catalyzed decarboxylative acylation of α-oxo-carboxylic acids with quinoxalin-2(1<italic>H</italic>)-ones.
