<span>Bythinella rethymnonensis</span><span> n. sp., replacement name for Bythinella magdalenae Glöer & Hirschfelder 2019</span>

When Glöer & Hirschfelder in 2019 described the new species Bythinella magdalenae, they overlooked the description of Bythinella magdalenae Yıldırım, Kebapçı & Bahadır Koca, 2015. Thus B. magdalenae Glöer & Hirschfelder 2019 is a homonym. To give this species an available name we describe it with the replacement name Bythinella rethymnonensis n. sp., because it occurs in the regional unit of Rethymno.
