Combination of DTS, DAS and Pressure Measurements Using Fibre Optics in the Geothermal Site of Soultz-sous-Forêts

Summary As part of the European project MEET, coordinated by ES Géothermie, FEBUS OPTICS has planned two operations of optical fibre cable deployment along the observation well EPS-1 in the geothermal site of Soultz-sous-Forêts (Alsace, France). These deployments enabled the long-term monitoring of the environment using various distributed optical fibre sensors: DAS, DTS and Fibre Bragg Gratings. Thus, the characterization of the variations in temperature and pressure and the induced seismicity have been achieved for a better understanding of the possible physical changes of the underground environment in a production site.
