RAND: The History, Operations, and Goals of a Nonprofit Corporation

A talk presented before the Harvard Business School Alumni at the University Club, Los Angeles, California, February 23, 1961. The paper discusses Project RAND's beginning and its establishment as an independent organization. The administrative and technical organization of RAND is described, along with some of its significant contributions to research.
