Recycling of spent batteries from electric drive vehicles (BNL-GIPP-372)

This project seeks to develop unique, energy efficient high temperature furnace technology and auxiliary equipment (e.g. material handling, cooling and electrical circuits, etc.). The furnace technology would become a critical element of the technology for recycling and reuse of high value materials from spent lithium-ion batteries for electric vehicles.
