Abstract

A comprehensive study of the phase composition, morphology, and texture of titanium dioxide nanopowder prepared by precipitation from an aqueous solution of TiCl4 was carried out. The result was compared with two commercial TiO2 powders. The acid–base properties of the surface, the charge and change in size of titanium dioxide nanoparticles during their aggregation in aqueous suspensions were studied. A comparative analysis of the influence of the studied characteristics of the nanopowders on their photocatalytic activity and phytoprotective properties was carried out.
